Locomax 20W-40 R

LOCOMAX 20W-40M has been specifically formulated for the older diesel locomotive where the use of Zinc Free additives was not a prerequisite of the engine builders. Unlike monograde engine oils, LOCOMAX 20W-40M allows easier starting and the maintenance of higher oils pressures throughout the working day and / or higher loadings. Due to the controlled viscosity across the working temperature range, governor issues during starting will be greatly reduced and remove the need for higher viscosity oils which can be troublesome when cold.

LOCOMAX 20W-40M must not be used in Deltic, engines – Copper crown detachment - engines containing Silver bearings – corrosive wear - or LMOA generation 4, 5 and 6 engines.
