  • 2016

Racing at 24 hours of Le Mans was a dream of Rebecca's. At Autosport International 2013, she launched Project Le Mans, her four-year plan of competing in the endurance race.  This plan involved winning the British Racing and Sports Car Club (BRSCC) Porsche Production Boxster Class Championship in 2013, which she subsequently won, out of the four drivers in her class.  In 2014, year 2, Rebecca planned on competing in the higher race spec Porsche Boxster class and in year 3, the Porsche 911 GT3 Cup Challenge.  The plan for 2016, the final year of the project is to be racing in the Porsche Carrera Cup Great Britian and 24 Hours of Le Mans.

Four years of hard work later Rebecca achieved her dream. She was overwhelmed as she experienced the pitlane just moments before she got into the LMP3 car to race at Le Mans. She accellerated away from the pit box and joined the greatest race track in the world.  After negotiating the Dunlop bridge and GP track, she joined the Mulsanne straight and kept her foot pinned to the floor, and the faster she went the stronger the downforce.  All the hard work and determination had been worth the effort!
